General Summary:

Assemble components according to manufacturing and customer specifications or requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and pneumatic tooling.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Following established methods and procedures must be able to perform the following operations necessary to assemble various types of components or gear housings, such as liners, and threaded inserts.
• Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform simple shop math.
• Operate a heat treat oven to specifications, monitor heat input, heat soak, and temperate readings.

Education & Experience Required:

• Minimum of high school diploma and 3 years of related factory experience.
• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Possess good mechanical aptitude and skilled with assembly of mechanical componentsCondition parts in extreme cold bath using hydrogen to shrink parts and then insert in corresponding component.
