Digital Content Marketing Specialist
Smith & Wesson is looking for a detail-oriented professional who is knowledgeable in digital marketing, understands the importance of brand stories, is looking to reach new audiences, and drives tangible business and reputation results. This role will have the opportunity to drive our social media content, collaborate with teams across the organization, and help build a sustainable infrastructure for our digital marketing practices. You'll engage directly with our consumers, monitor online trends for relevant conversations, and report on the results. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be part of the Brand Marketing team, and work closely with many functions within the company including but not limited to, Sales, Product, Operations, Engineering, and other Brand marketing teams.
The role is based in our Maryville, TN office, and reports to the Director of Brand Marketing. The position is 100% in-office/non-remote.
Salary range starting at $45,000. Entry-level role, requiring 1 year of Marketing experience.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategize and share Smith & Wesson's story through social media content and engagement tactics.
Ideate, create, and schedule content for Smith & Wesson's digital channels.
Consult with teams across the organization to build coalitions and identify opportunities to collaborate.
Manage Smith & Wesson's social media projects, brainstorms, and campaign kickoffs.
Review and respond to incoming messages from our consumers.
Provide design and video editing support.
Responsible for regularly sourcing and distributing digital marketing reports.
Lead in other social media initiatives as assigned.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
1+ years' experience in Marketing preferred
1+ years' experience with social media planning/coordination preferred
Competencies and Skills
Strong writing and editing skills, along with a track record of creating content for consumers.
Experiences with project management or process development.
A tactful, bridge-building approach to working with people at different levels of social media knowledge.
Outstanding judgment relating to personal and professional social media usage.
Preferred: experience using Photoshop or other graphic design tools.
Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills required
Self-motivated, independent, and proactive worker with a high level of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail
Familiarity and willingness to work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced team environment
Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
Ability to think strategically
Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities and projects
Demonstrated ability to adapt to and learn new processes
Physical Demands

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment
Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.
The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:
Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor
The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
