STV is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern Student for our Systems - Traction Power Group. This position will work with senior and junior Engineers and Project Managers to assist in the various tasks related to rail passenger vehicles, railroad signaling, and rail traction power systems. The group provides engineering consulting services for public transit agencies. The position is 100% in-person.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with design reviews or problem-solving on rail vehicle subsystems (HVAC, Propulsion, Braking, etc.)
Information take-offs from engineering drawings, and drawing interpretation
AutoCAD, Inventor, Sketch-up, and other modeling projects
Spreadsheet, database, and programming development
Note-taking for project and design review meetings, possibly at client locations
Test data processing
Support for field tests and inspection of rail rolling stock, possibly at client locations
Assist with specification development - Preparation of correspondence, reports and other formal documents
Writing/reviewing test procedures for mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
Required Skills:
* Candidate needs to be enrolled in an engineering bachelor's degree program.
Compensation Range:
