Summary

Entry level position. Work within Main Warehouse to provide Outreach support related to equipment provided to Field Trainers and customers. Assist with overseeing and maintaining Quality Control processes to ensure equipment from our Vendor(s) meet expected functionality and performance; acceptable to distribute to our Outreach and customers. Communicate, as necessary, with Engineering Team at Sorenson Headquarters related to hardware and software of Sorenson videophones and products. Communicate, as necessary, with Vendor of our products. Work closely with Main Warehouse Shipping Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist testing all incoming new product in Main Warehouse pertaining to Videophones and any Sorenson supported equipment i.e. remote control, videophone flasher, etc.
  • Ensure equipment received from vendor meets expected functionality and performance by way of Quality Control testing procedures set in place.
  • Communicate, as necessary, with Sorenson Engineering Team related to hardware and software of Sorenson videophones.
  • Work closely with Main Warehouse Shipping Team, communicating equipment needs and expectancy.
  • Hand off equipment from Quality Control to Shipping Team once all testing and checks are met and completed.
  • Processing field equipment returns by way of sorting, testing, and refurbishment of defective Videophones.
  • Assist with coordination of RMAs with vendor for repair of defective equipment under warranty and out-of-warranty.
  • Keep understanding of the needs and demands of certain equipment and how it pertains to Engineering, Shipping Team, Forecasting and management of current/projected inventory levels.
  • Maintain all records pertaining to Quality Control in respective database(s).
  • All other duties assigned by Quality Assurance Supervisor as needed.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions.
  • Must multitask well and be proactive.
  • Good people skills, be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to follow directions and orders in all assignments given and keep on task.
  • Understanding that all database information is confidential.
  • Be able to lift an object weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of American Sign Language is preferred but not required.

Experience/Education/Certifications

  • Experience working with Excel & Word documents.
  • Experience working in Quality Control, at least 2 years is preferred but not required.
  • OSHA Forklift Certified.
