Responsibilities
- Accountability for ensuring payroll taxes and reports to federal, state, and local agencies are accurate
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve issues, conduct payroll audits and ensure compliance.
- Provide insight and back-up support to ensure payroll is processed accurately on a timely basis
- Audit / verify processing of statutory reporting and compliance filings to ensure accuracy, compliance and timeliness.
- Prepare, review and approve the general ledger entries and present financial reports on a monthly basis adhering to month end closing deadlines.
- Prepare and deliver payroll cycle finance reports to each site finance manager.
- Work collaboratively across teams
- Forecast and calculate actual benefits fringe rate. Responsible for monitoring, reviewing and calculating fringe benefits activity and forecasts.
- Collaborate with benefits department to understand medical costs on benefits, and to develop and monitor benefits spending for reporting.
- Support accounting needs via AP and HR functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, HR, or similar.
- 3+ years relevant work experience a similar role, preferable acting as a liaison between accounting and HR functions.
- Microsoft Office, focus on Excel
- Experience with full cycle payroll, tax functions, and benefits.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
