The Health & Safety Specialist position for our Honolulu, Hawaii Office is not a temporary or single project position.

Summary of Position: Health & Safety Specialist for City & County, State, Federal, and Private Industry Construction Projects
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Minimum Experience/Minimum Education: Two Year College Degree in Safety/Science/Construction or Five Years of Safety Management Experience or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Certifications: STSC, CHST (Will Help to Certify Candidate with Equivalent Work Experience)
- Ability to pass drug test
- Must possess a current driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Summary of Position: Health & Safety Specialist for City & County, State, Federal, and Private Industry Construction Projects
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Construction Site Safety Inspections
- Writing and Reviewing Site Specific Safety Plans
- Management and Conducting of Employee Safety Training
- Acquisition, Distribution and Inventory Management of safety supplies
- Management of Safety Monitors, Meters, and Equipment
- Conduct Field Testing per Corporate Safety, Health, and Environmental Plan
- Participation in Corporate Safety Committee
- Ensure Compliance with all Local, State, & Federal Safety and Environmental Regulations
- Anticipates and interprets customer needs to identify solutions, resolves standard and non-standard problems
- Sets priorities to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with supervisors and clients
- Works within budget to meet safety and operational objectives set by the Area Manager and reports daily activities
- College Degree in Science or Safety Related Studies or Equivalent Work Experience
- Must be able to work in team environment
- Has proficiency or will develop proficiency in Construction Safety including but not limited to OSHA 1926 & 1910 and EM 385 1-1.
- Understanding and ability to use the following computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point
- Has the ability to adapt to changes quickly
- Strong communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel inter-island
