Job Description

POSITION: COMMERCIAL LOAN ADMINISTRATOR

The Commercial Loan Administrator provides administrative support for the Commercial Lending areas of the Bank, including pipeline management, reviewing legal documentation, performing due diligence in preparation of closing, and facilitating closings with attorneys and lenders. Upon closing, review documents for completeness and prepare loan for boarding to the core. Track and clear post-closing exception items by following up with attorneys and lenders to gather documentation needed.

Key Result Areas:

  • Perform all due diligence associated with the loan closing process, preclosing conditions, collateral and guarantor requirements and ensure that OFAC checks have been completed through Equifax on borrowers, guarantors, and authorized signers.

  • Ensure that the Standard Flood Hazard Determination Forms have been ordered and received on all Commercial Loans secured by real estate 10 days prior to closing in accordance with the loan approval requirements, the bank's lending policy, FEMA guidelines and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for tracking the receipts of the Customer Identification Program (CIP) worksheets and verifying customer information required on all new and existing Commercial loan customers are in accordance with CSB CIP policy, Patriot Act procedures and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare and/or obtain required loan documentation for various loan requests such as new CRE and C&I loan requests including Participations, SWAPS, Bonds, Letters of Credit, modifications, increases, renewals, and extensions.

  • Ensure that the loan closings are accurate, that they adhere to the loan approval terms and that preclosing conditions have been met while coordinating the associated funding/disbursements.

  • Work with Loan Officers and Attorneys to ensure receipt of a complete loan file. Track and follow up on any documentation not received at closing until all outstanding document exceptions are satisfied.

  • Responsible for tracking, reconciling, and reporting of all expenses related to the loan closing including vendor fees and good faith deposits.

  • Adhere to relevant compliance policies and procedures pertinent to this position including but not limited to Reg B, flood insurance, Patriot Act, and Beneficial Ownership.

  • Participate in weekly pipeline meetings for ABL, C&I and CRE as needed.

Qualifications:

  • College degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or business management.

  • Three to five years of commercial lending experience.

  • Ability to review documentation while adhering to bank approval and regulatory guidelines.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to meet critical deadlines with limited supervision.

  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to changes and work effectively and independently to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
