Operational Intelligence Planner, Senior

The Opportunity:

Critical decisions are made every single day in space operations. What if you could use your intelligence planning and analytical skills to help them make informed decisions? With all the information available today, it takes a skilled analyst to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. As a Joint Operational Intelligence Planner, you use your specialized analytical and planning training and experience to develop analytic intelligence planning products to give your client the actionable intelligence and context they need. If you have strong intelligence planning, analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to support our space operations client.

As a joint operational intelligence planner on our team, you'll provide analysis of foreign space capabilities on various topics, including adversary space doctrine, strategy, communications and collections, vulnerabilities, platforms, assembly and launch capabilities, weapons, dual-use systems and technologies, and emerging space-related technologies. You'll take your own insights and the insights of other analysts to provide to the greater USSPACECOM planning community. These may include center of gravity analysis, joint intelligence preparation of the environment, intelligence preparation of the battlefield, enemy course of action. These presentations may occur during operational planning teams, working groups, joint planning groups, etc. Your expertise will support future operations planning, contingency and campaign planning, and operational planning. You will utilize your understanding of the joint planning process and military decision-making process to provide relevant and timely information to planning teams. We focus on growing as a team to deliver the best support to our customers, so you'll have resources to grow your expertise, learn new skills and tools, and share your methodologies with other analysts. You Have:

  • 8 years of experience with all-source intelligence analysis and production
  • Experience with writing comprehensive intelligence assessments, information papers, and presentations
  • Experience with using Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Counterintelligence (CI), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), or Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) information for tactical, operational, and strategic analyses
  • Experience with Joint Planning Process or Military Decision Making Process
  • Knowledge of foreign threats to U.S. space operations
  • Knowledge of DIA Writing Style Guide
  • Ability to adhere to Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) tradecraft
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience as an intelligence analyst
  • 2+ years of experience as an analyst supporting space and counterspace warfare operations
  • Experience in the US Intelligence Community (IC)in a Geographic or Functional Combatant Command or an IC agency
  • Ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to planners and policy makers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Certified Defense All-Source Analysis Levels I and II or Intelligence Fundamentals Professional (IFPC) Certification
  • Space 100, 200, or 300 Certification or a commercial equivalent
  • Space Intelligence Fundamentals Course or a commercial equivalent

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
